History
Step inside Puempel's Olde Tavern
And into a different time as you enter a historic space that's been welcoming visitors for over a century. Joseph Puempel founded it as a boarding house and tavern in 1893, where it welcomed many Swiss immigrants seeking a new way of life. Their son Otto lived upstairs and continued the tradition until he passed away.

You HAVE to try the naked cheese curds! They are Munster cheese, not breaded, warm, and so delicious! Also, see if you can get a dollar stuck on the ceiling

Fun little WI bar to visit. Good service. Beautiful wooden old bar to sit at and full of old history. Check out the dollar bills on the high ceiling. Nice family friendly bar/grill to meet up with friends.
